The Meetings Space in Cool Copenhagen
Flying acrobats, floating pork, and sky-high expectations. Copenhagen raises the bar for yet another event, as The Meetings Space held its annual spring forum in the capital of Denmark.
Over 80 most influential buyers and 130 suppliers met in Copenhagen for The Meetings Space’s 8th MICE business forum. The purpose of the forum is to inspire senior buyers and provide business opportunities for the suppliers.
This year, Hadler DMC Scandinavia was chosen as one of the preferred DMC and key sponsor during the program, due to our commitment to provide great quality, educate our visitors and develop ROI for all parties. These responsibilities included all coordination, welcome dinner at Øksnehallen with activities and entertainment, sightseeing tour of a chilly Copenhagen and the VIP post program.
Cool Opening
To set the mood for two and a half day of networking, Øksnehallen and Hadler DMC teamed up to create a fantastic opening. Challenge of the evening was to show Copenhagens many features, while allowing participants to network, and creating meaningful ROI for all participants.
The solution was to pull the life and atmosphere of Copenhagen inside the venue while having elements which would require the guests to use their muscles and neurones. We challenged our guests to compete in four themed activities:
- Design It – Release your inner Da Vinci and sketch the live model and the Danish design objects.
- Build It – Build the most stylish creations, based on the contemporary architecture of Copenhagen.
- Believe It – Walk around Copenhagen in Virtual Reality. Find the best use of VR in the future!
- Ride It – Race the indoor obstacle course in special Butcher Bikes without spilling a drop!
The food was served from the different Street Food Trucks, while acrobats entertained the guests.
Building Bridges
Saturday the VIP Buyers had the opportunity to see Copenhagen from a difference perspectives.
To continue the cause of The Meetings Space, “building bridges between influential buyers and inspirational suppliers”, the VIPs got a chance to see how Copenhagen and Malmö work together to create a dynamic and attractive destination. First showing Copenhagen from the water, then driving across the Oresund Bridge and dining on top of Turning Torso.
The Meetings Space’s director Lorraine Hall had the following comment:
“When we decided to take The Meetings Space to Copenhagen we finally got the chance to work with Bent and his team at Hadler DMC.
Once met, never forgotten, Bent is a larger than life character who is passionate about everything he does. He leads from the front, shoots from the hip and has a heart the size of Denmark – he is just our sort of man! Bent and his wonderful team seem to know everyone in Scandinavia. Hadler DMC orchestrated one of the coolest opening evenings in the old meat packing district which perfectly reflected the destination and set the mood for the 3 days. They then delivered unique solutions all along the way which exceeded expectations – exactly what most of us crave in a DMC! His team has a similar professionalism and passion”
